Liu Baochun, director of the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government, met with Dang The Hung, the outgoing consul general of Vietnam in Guangzhou, on Dec 18.

Liu expressed his gratitude for Dang's contributions in promoting the friendly communications and cooperation between Guangzhou and Vietnamese cities during his term.

Liu noted that he hopes Dang can continue to pay close attention to Guangzhou, as well as help enhance cooperation with Guangzhou and Vietnamese cities.

Dang said that the effective and fruitful communications with Guangzhou government departments have greatly impressed him. He also expressed his intent to further devote efforts in pushing forward communications between Guangzhou and Vietnam in areas spanning economy, trade, and culture.
