The press conference for the 2020 China Sports Culture Expo and the 2020 China Sports Tourism Expo, which will be held from Nov 11 to 29 at Poly World Trade Center (PWTC) Expo in Guangzhou, was carried out on Nov 6.

The China Sports Culture Expo is hosted by the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Olympic Committee, while the China Sports Tourism Expo is sponsored by the All-China Sports Federation, the Chinese Olympic Committee, and the China Tourism Association.

According to Huang Jin, deputy head of the Sports Culture Development Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, this year's two expos are composed of seven exhibition areas, 14 forums, and more than 20 activities.

Nearly 30 provincial or municipal sports bureaus, as well as over 400 domestic and foreign manufacturers and brands will participate in the exhibition, added Huang.

Promotional activities for sports tourism and excellent sports cultural items will also take place during the two expos.

To date, a total of 832 sports tourism items have been submitted by 27 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities to the expos, as well as 420 excellent sports cultural items from 26 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. Among them, outstanding ones will be selected to be promoted at the expos.

This year's expos will be carried out in both online and offline venues for the first time. Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), will attend the expos through online videos, as well as representatives from the Badminton World Federation (BWF), the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), and the World Skating Association.
