The training of the first session of the long-term internship project for Hong Kong and Macao students in Guangzhou started on Oct 31, aiming to better help Hong Kong and Macao students to immerse into the life in Guangzhou.
The training attracted more than 50 attendees, including representatives from companies offering internship opportunities, as well as Hong Kong and Macao students participating in the project.
The project will last for six months and has organized a total of 31 outstanding companies to provide 151 high-quality internship vacancies, attracting 94 Hong Kong and Macao students to sign up.
Liang Yerong, general manager of the Guangzhou Concord Cancer Center, said that high-caliber talents are vital in the sustainable development of companies. The systematic training can help these excellent interns from Hong Kong and Macao to grow into exceptional talents that help companies make more contributions to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Activities like tours around the Nansha area of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Lingnan culture experiences, as well as training sessions in employment and entrepreneurship will be available in the project.
