The awards ceremony of the youth painting competition celebrating the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Thailand was held on Sept 19 in Guangzhou.

The ceremony was jointly hosted by Guangzhou Broadcasting Network and the Guangzhou office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand under the guidance of the Guangzhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

Launched on June 30 in Thailand, the competition gathered hundreds of paintings by students from nearly 100 Guangzhou primary and middle schools, as well as Thai students in Guangzhou.

Certificates for winners of the competition were issued during the ceremony by guests including Cui Songdong, head of Guangzhou Broadcasting Network, and Kuang Changping, vice chairman of the Guangzhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
