Li Ming, vice mayor of Guangzhou, met with the Israeli delegation led by Shuki Gleitman in Guangzhou on Sept 15.

Gleitman is the former director general and chief scientist of Israel's Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as the chairman of the Guangzhou Sino-Israel Biotech Investment Fund.

Gleitman outlined the current operation status of projects like the Guangzhou Sino-Israel Biotech Investment Fund, the Guangzhou Sino-Israel Bio Industry Incubation Center, and the Guangzhou Liaison Office of Tel Aviv.

The cooperation progress between Guangzhou and Israel in areas spanning life and health sciences, smart medicine, as well as home-based care for seniors were also detailed by Gleitman.

Li noted that the cooperation between Guangzhou and Israel has been further developed with the help of Gleitman. He also expressed his hope that both Gleitman and the Guangzhou Sino-Israel Biotech Investment Fund can innovate more international cooperation models, as well as make full use of Israel's advantages in scientific innovation and biomedicine to attract more high-quality projects and resources to settle down in Guangzhou.
