The forum on the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Friendship City relationship between Guangzhou and Vancouver, Canada was held at the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center on Sept 15.

Vancouver was the second international Friendship City of Guangzhou in North America, with communication between the two cities deepening in areas spanning culture, sports, medicine, and urban sustainable development since 1985.

The year 2020 also marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the sister province relationship between Guangdong province and British Columbia, Canada. In addition, the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center established a sister hospital relationship with the Children's and Women's Health Centre of British Columbia in 1986.

More than 30 renowned doctors from Guangzhou were sent to the Children's and Women's Health Center of British Columbia to pursue further studies. Representatives were invited to share their experiences in Canada during the forum.

Guests, including Vancouver doctors who have studied and worked in Guangzhou, also recorded videos to express congratulations on the anniversary.
