The demonstration site for the innovation and cooperation of cross-border taxation services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was set up at Kingbridge Sun Kuong Law Firm in Guangzhou's Nansha district on Aug 26.
The establishment of the demonstration site marks the official launch of the innovation and cooperation mechanism for cross-border taxation services in the Greater Bay Area jointly built by the Nansha tax bureau, Nansha justice bureau, and Nansha Hong Kong and Macao affairs office.
Kingbridge Sun Kuong Law Firm is the first partnership law firm in Guangzhou formed by parties from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
"The demonstration site serves as a meaningful exploration of government departments and professional legal service organizations in cooperative and collaborative governance," said Huang Jiaying, deputy director of the Nansha tax bureau.
"In addition to offering free online and offline tax-related legal services from Kingbridge Sun Kuong Law Firm, we will try to set up service stations at the other two branches of the law firm in Hong Kong and Macao in order to expand service carriers and channels. We hope more Hong Kong and Macao companies can more easily set up operations in Nansha through our joint efforts," added Huang.
An intelligent online tax service platform made its debut that same day, allowing cross-border companies in the Greater Bay Area and people from Hong Kong and Macao to learn about the latest policies and regulations on taxation.
"The act has greatly promoted exchange between high-caliber talent in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, contributing to the high-quality integrated development of the Greater Bay Area," said Yu Liping, director of the general manager's office at APT Electronics Co Ltd.
