A China-Europe freight train loaded with the first two second-hand cars for export departed Guangzhou for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan via Khorgos in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on Aug 15, further expanding the export business scope of Guangzhou's China-Europe freight trains.
The two Beijing Hyundai cars, worth an overall value of $10,468, will be sold at local markets in Bishkek after around 15 days of travel.
Guangzhou Customs has worked closely with relevant railway departments and companies to ensure the smooth operation of the export of the two vehicles. Convenient services such as opening special handling counters, offering 24-hour reservation for clearance as well as giving customized guidance for companies were provided to shorten clearance time.
It is expected that the successful export of the second-hand vehicles using China-Europe freight trains will further stimulate vitality in the regional automobile consumer market, boost the development of the automobile industry and achieve high-quality foreign trade development.
Guangdong province was listed among the first batch of areas in China to carry out export business with second-hand cars in April 2019.
