A strategic cooperation framework agreement was signed by Guangzhou Engineering Company Ltd of China Railway Sixth Group Co Ltd and a company managing smart transportation systems on July 21 to build smart multi-storey underground garages in Guangzhou.

The garages in Guangzhou will apply the most advanced parking system in the world with the highest access rate, as well as the highest number for vehicles in and out the garage at the same time.

Other advanced technologies like smart transportation systems, as well as automatic remote security monitoring and diagnosis systems will also be used in the garages.

Experts noted that the main structure of the smart multi-storey underground garage can be finished within three to six months. After completion, drivers no longer need to enter the parking lot to ensure their security. 

The garage can be built as deep as more than 100 meters underground, making full use of the space.
