The Guangzhou tax bureau has launched customized services for expats in Guangzhou in the annual calculation of their personal income tax, Guangzhou Daily reported on June 21.

The official WeChat account of the Guangzhou tax bureau has launched multilingual promotional documents related to issues on the annual calculation of personal income tax in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.

A seminar was held at the suggestion of the Guangzhou tax bureau, inviting representatives from four major accounting firms, namely PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, KPMG, and Ernst & Young, to solicit foreigners' opinions and suggestions on the annual calculation of personal income tax.

The bureau has also made full use of the advantages of new media platforms, such as online live streams and their official WeChat account, to carry out online guidiance for expats, as well as to offer online consultations.
