More support and supplies have arrived in Guangzhou from the city's sister cities around the world to help it and China's fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Guangzhou has responded to and acknowledged these cities, noting that Guangzhou residents will always remember their kindness.
A series of photos had been sent to Guangzhou No 6 Middle School before the Spring Festival from Max-Beckmann-Schule High School, Frankfurt, Germany.
Max-Beckmann-Schule High School, which established friendly relations with Guangzhou No 6 Middle School in 2013, was expected to send a delegation of students to Guangzhou to stay with local students and teachers to experience the traditional culture of the Spring Festival.
However, the trip was canceled due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Regardless, the German students stated that, "there is a second chance to meet you in Guangzhou!"
Edinburgh in the United Kingdom have donated a batch of medical supplies to Guangzhou along with Edinburgh Airport, which included 400 boxes of disposable gloves, 200 boxes of protective clothing, and 200 boxes of disposable shoe covers, worth 58,000 British pounds ($74,781.14).
Gerard Collomb, mayor of Lyon, France, said that he greatly values the relationship between Lyon and Guangzhou. He also expressed his hope that relevant departments can keep carrying out close cooperation so that the cooperation projects scheduled at the end of June and the beginning of July can be launched on time.
