Guangzhou Disease Control and Prevention Department issued No.1 public announcement: People entering public places are required to wear masks.

In order to reinforce the city's prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, safeguard people's health and safety, we hereby announce the following matters of concern base on the laws of the People's Republic of China and the instructions of multiple levels of government.

1. The administrators of all government departments, enterprises, and public institutions in Guangzhou shall equip themselves with body temperature detectors to monitor the people entering public places, and ask them to wear masks.

2. Increase self-protection. Avoid going to closed or crowded public places. If necessary, please wear masks and avoid close contact with people who are coughing or having a fever.

3. If you have come to Guangzhou from Hubei Province after January 11, 2020 (including that day), please report to your communities, departments, hotels and other places where you live. Keep your air, train or ship tickets, and monitor your body temperature. From the day of arrival in Guangzhou, you should keep yourself in quarantine, monitor your health condition, and avoid going out. If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath and other symptoms, please go to the nearest clinic immediately with a mask on. If you have any doubts, please call 12320 (Guangzhou Health Hotline) for consultation.

Guangzhou Disease Control and Prevention Department issued No.2 Public Announcement: All Guangzhou residents and people coming to Guangzhou shall report their conditions within the past 14 days on WeChat.

The prevention and control of pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus is a top priority. In order to ensure the health and safety of all Guangzhou residents and those coming to Guangzhou, and make every effort to contain the spread of the epidemic, we hereby announce the following matters of concern in accordance with the first-level response to the major public health emergencies in Guangdong province.

1. From January 30, all Guangzhou residents and people coming to Guangzhou shall report their conditions within the past 14 days through "Sui Kang" mini-program on WeChat.

2. All Guangzhou residents and people coming to Guangzhou shall cooperate with the staff members of the air, railway, waterway, highway and other transport departments, and follow the management of the quarantine station at expressway, national and provincial highway to test your body temperature. If you have visited Hubei province within 14 days prior to your arrival in Guangzhou, you shall, on the day of your arrival, report your health condition to the local community, departments, hotels or other places where you live, and fill in the registration form of health condition according to the facts. If you don’t have a fever or other related symptoms temporarily, please monitor your health condition at home for 14 days. If you do not have the condition for home observation, please contact the health service center of the local community (or township hospitals) and they will arrange you to a centralized place in each district for health observation. If you have a fever (37.3 degrees or above), cough, shortness of breath and other symptoms, please go to the nearest clinic with a mask on.

3. Government departments, enterprises, public institutions, and social organizations in Guangzhou shall detect their employees’ body temperature, strengthen health education and giving health tips, urge employees and their families to report health condition through “Sui Kang” mini-program on WeChat, or report at the domicile or nearing communities, and require employees who need health observation to contact the health service center of the local community (or township hospitals).

4. Please increase self-prevention and protection. Washing your hands often, keeping regular ventilation and sterilizing. Do not participate in public activities. Wearing masks in public places. Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. Strengthen exercise, have a healthy diet and follow disease prevention and control requirements. Cooperate with the tracking and investigation of relevant staff members and keep yourself in quarantine if needed. Those who deliberately hide, refuse to cooperate and cause severe consequences, shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law.

The "Sui Kang" mini-program system has completed its beta version, and has been certificated on WeChat Official Accounts including "gz_zwwx" and "gh_a8ac51c8b9f3". Its beta version has been rolled out.

The mask purchase reservation system will provide reservation service of 79 stores owned by Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings. The total number of the next day's reservations and purchase limit will be displayed at 20:00 on the same day. Residents can purchase at the stores with the reservation number and ID card after making online reservation. At present, the system is undergoing pressure test, and the service has been available since 20:00 on Jan 31.
