A delegation led by N. Sagatov, principal architect of Tashkent, capital city of Uzbekistan, visited the Guangzhou municipal housing and urban-rural development bureau on Jan 16.

Symposiums were carried out between the delegation and the people in charge of several departments of the bureau. Hot issues, such as urban planning, low-income housing policies, urban renewal, as well as the preservation of historic and cultural districts, were covered in them.

The visit was expected to promote the understanding and friendship between Guangzhou and Tashkent in city planning.
