A photography exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to China was unveiled on Dec 17 at Guangzhou Library, showcasing Macao's achievements in the past two decades through 350 photographic works.
The exhibition had collected more than 7,000 pieces of work through various measures spanning public solicitation and themed photo shooting, covering different aspects of Macao, including its economy, society, and culture.
In addition, the exhibition also displayed the close communication between Guangdong and Hong Kong, especially in terms of culture.
Guo Xiaoning, full-time vice chairman of the Guangdong Photographers Association, said that the 350 photographic works being displayed cover both big topics, such as major events and landmark projects, as well as microcosmic perspectives focusing on daily life.
"The changes in Macao are earthshaking and these changes have also showcased the power of China. As photographers, we will provide first-hand documentary information," said Feng Zhenwei, secretary general of the Zhuhai Photographers Association.
