More than 380 representatives from global design organizations, higher education institutions, as well as outstanding companies have gathered at Conghua's eco-design town in Guangzhou for the 2019 World Eco-Design Conference.
The 2019 World Eco-Design Conference, scheduled from Dec 5 to 7, held its opening ceremony on Dec 6. This year's event is expected to have more internationalization and interesting features than the previous one held in 2018.
Guests of honor have been set up for the first time for this year's event, namely Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Thailand. Representatives from three countries in areas spanning politics, education, research, and arts have showcased their local characteristics and distinctive industries.

During the conference, a number of major projects settled down in Conghua, such as the first designer village in China and the first design hotel in the world that was built from renovations of an abandoned toothpick factory.
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Eco-Design Leading Talent Training Program, being part of the conference, kicked off on Dec 5, attracting around 50 representatives from 22 countries such as China, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand to carry out deep communication in advanced technologies and experiences in digital economy and innovation.
