A photography exhibition themed on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area opened Nov 26 in Guangzhou and will run until Dec 1.
The exhibition has selected more than 300 works from over 2,000 pieces covering four topics: city construction, culture, rural revitalization, and science and humanity. The exhibition showcases the achievements of 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area.
Jiang Yabing, deputy president of Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, said Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao share similar origins, therefore strengthening communication and cooperation between the three areas is needed to boost the coordinated development of the Greater Bay Area.
About 40 photographers from Guangdong and Hong Kong were invited to visit cities such as Huizhou and Zhongshan before the exhibition.
Ng Chau-pei, president of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (HKFTU), said the exhibition showcased the openness, energy and fashion in the Greater Bay Area, and he is looking forward to the exhibition's tour to Hong Kong next year to inspire more residents there to work harder.
The exhibition will be on show in Zhongshan after Guangzhou from Dec 17 to 23, and is scheduled to tour Hong Kong in 2020.
