The 14th China Cruise Shipping Conference and International Cruise Expo took place in Guangzhou from Nov 15 to 17, attracting more than 600 guests, including entrepreneurs from the cruise industry, scholars, experts, and media members.

The event, first held in 2006, has developed into an important platform for cruise management departments and cruise companies from home and abroad to carry out communications and cooperation.

The conference, co-hosted by the Guangzhou municipal government and the China Communications and Transportation Association, organized a variety of activities, such as a round table conference, forums, and exhibitions featuring the whole industry chain.

Guangzhou, as the host city of this year's event, launched its international cruise business in January 2016, and the city has operated 320 inbound and outbound cruises, receiving 1.21 million tourists. Guangzhou's business scale has ranked third in China for three consecutive years.
