A work made by Xie Shidang, a teacher at Guangzhou City Construction College (GZCCC), was selected to be displayed in a Chinese culture exhibition that opened in Athens, Greece on Nov 2.

The exhibition, co-hosted by China's State Council Information Office, Economic Daily, and the Chinese embassy in Greece, aims to introduce the origin and evolution of Chinese characters to Greeks, as well as explore the connections between Chinese and Greek characters.

Xie, a teacher of advertising design and production at GZCCC's School of Art and Design, submitted his work to the organization committee of the exhibition in October and received a notice one month later that his work would be included in the exhibition.

For Xie, the year 2019 is a fruitful one, as one of his works was selected in the Quemoy International Poster Award for Peace and displayed in Kinmen, Taiwan and another one of his works will be showcased on Dec 20 in Macao in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to China.
