The closing ceremony of the cultural communication season for Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao youths was held on Nov 9 at Archaeological Site Museum of Nanyue Palace in Guangzhou.
Hosted by the Guangzhou bureau for culture, radio and television, the event attracted around 30 entrepreneurial youths and more than 40 university students from Hong Kong and Macao, as well as 150 youths from cities including Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Foshan.
The cultural communication season, which started in April, includes a series of organized activities, such as story fairs, site tours, and art performances, to improve the cultural communication of youths in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao to contribute to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
The closing ceremony showcased the achievements in the cultural communication season through various forms spanning performances and story sharing. A fair was also held during the event, allowing participants to get a close look at more than 10 intangible cultural heritages like embroidery and Cantonese opera.
A person in charge of the Guangzhou bureau for culture, radio and television said that the cultural cooperation and communication among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao has become closer with the rapid development of the Greater Bay Area. This year's event has expanded its scale to unite all cities in the area.
