The administrative committee of Guangzhou Nansha district signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the International Trade Center (ITC) on Nov 5, during the ongoing China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.
Cooperation in improving cross-border trade facilitation, as well as supporting small and medium-sized enterprises participating in international trade will be carried out, according to the document.
Dong Ke, director of Nansha district, said that the MOU can help small and medium-sized enterprises in Nansha expand their international markets with the help of the abundant global resources and trade experiences of ITC, as well as promote reform and innovation in promoting trade facilitation in the district.
Arancha Gonzalez, executive director of ITC, said that Nansha Pilot Free Trade Zone is vital in the development of the Belt and Road Initiative. ITC will team up with Nansha to introduce more international companies into the Chinese market and support the development of Nansha.
