The signing ceremony for high-quality domestic and overseas education projects in Guangzhou's Nansha district was held in Oct 23.
It is expected that the high-quality education resources in Nansha will be expanded, as well as that the socio-economic development of Nansha and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be accelerated.
A total of nine outstanding schools, such as Lincoln Academy from the United States, King's College School from the United Kingdom, and Guangzhou Zhixin High School, will settle in Nansha district. It encompasses one public school, six private schools with higher degrees of internationalization, and two schools for foreign children.
All nine schools are expected to enroll a total of more than 16,000 students.
Nansha district, which is located in the geographic center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, has attracted a large number of young and middle-aged high-end talents to settle down in it.
Stephen Holliday, headmaster of Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School, said that the school will offer an international education model, such as organizing exchanges programs in the UK and helping students have closer relationships with universities in the UK.
