The 2019 CNBC Global Technology Conference (Nansha) is slated to be held in Nansha district, Guangzhou, Guangdong province from Nov 18 to 20 and the southernmost Guangzhou district held a promotion event for the conference in Hong Kong on July 9.
Cai Chaolin, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Party chief of Nansha, addressed the audience at the event, which was attended by guests including Max Raven, senior vice president of CNBC International, Emma Sirca, vice president of CNBC Asia Pacific, as well as enterprise representatives in the fields of information technology, fintech, and venture investment.

The CNBC Global Technology Conference is an annual tech event which brings together the world's most influential technology leaders, including executives from Huawei, Royole, iFlytek, and other top technology companies.
Cai shared the latest developments and opportunities of Nansha and described the bright prospect of Nansha by using the acronym, "RISE".
R stands for Reform. As a state-level new area, pilot free trade zone, and comprehensive cooperation demonstration zone of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Nansha has carried out rounds of reform to improve its business environment, with the business registration process in Nansha shortened to less than seven hours.

I stands for Innovation. There are over 170 artificial intelligence enterprises, 120 biotechnology enterprises, and numerous new energy auto enterprises currently in Nansha. Nansha Science City and HKUST (Guangzhou) will provide solid support for Nansha's innovation.
S stands for Speed. The GDP of Nansha increased by 11 percent every year from 2014 to 2018, and the number of business registrations almost increased tenfold in that time. Nearly 20,000 new enterprises were registered from January to May of this year and 150 projects by Fortune Global 500 companies have settled in Nansha.
E stands for Environment, Eating, and Enjoyment. Nansha won the gold award of the 2011 International Awards for Livable Communities for its exemplary ecological environment, air quality, and water quality. AI and 5G technologies have been utilized in the development of Nansha. Together with its delicious food, Nansha is now acclaimed as a livable, environmentally friendly, smart, and fascinating city.
