Fans of classical Cantonese songs in Guangzhou are in for a treat on Dec 31, as a special concert featuring 20 Cantonese songs will be held at the Baiyun International Convention Center.

On Dec 12, a concert was held at the Fanhouse Art Space in Westin Pazhou in Guangzhou, with music artists from Guangzhou and Hong Kong performing and organizers announcing the larger concert on Dec 31. 

The songs performed on Dec 31 will be a selection of the most popular Cantonese songs from Hong Kong during the 70s, 80s and 90s.

The concert will also feature performances by 60 artists from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao orchestras. Distinguished guests will include famous Hong Kong singer Patrick Lui and music arranger Jim Lau. 

The concert will consist of seven parts, including a prologue, rock performances, special composer introductions, classic theme songs and a final chorus.
