Young footballers from Greater Bay Area hone their skills in Guangzhou

The two-day Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Soccer Exchange Match opened in Guangzhou on Aug 20, attracting over 250 young soccer players in 18 teams from Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong.

The match allowed each team to have five members and was conducted in two stages. In the first stage, 18 teams were divided into six groups to compete under the single round robin system. In the second stage, the top three teams were determined through elimination.

Each team completed its first stage contest on Aug 20. Contestants are all middle school students from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In the spirit of "friendship first, competition second", they all cherished the opportunity to communicate with each other and make friends.
